Was het voorspelbaar? Tuurlijk wel, maar dat neemt niet weg dat ik het boek meeslepend en spannend vond. Vermoedelijk had ik hier minder van genoten als ik deze serie in dezelfde periode als pakweg The Hunger Games of Divergent had gelezen, gezien de formule van de YA-dystopie hier ook wel hard werd gevolgd en het dus eigenlijk zo goed als hetzelfde verhaal is, maar dan anders. Dat terzijde genoot ik vooral van de vlotte schrijfstijl, de intensiteit en bochtigheid van de plot en de als echt aanvoelende personages.
Really enjoyed the conclusion to this duology! All of the character arcs were so satisfying and I just loved the ending of it.
Listened to this on audio and highly recommend as the narrator (Aysha Kala) is brilliant.
