I just finished Pitch Dark by Paul Doiran - book 15 of the Mike Bowditch series and here are my thoughts.
When an armed man offers money in exchange for the location of a man, a man who happens to be building a dream cabin for Josie Jonson, the godmother to his wife, Mike gets right on the case.
When he goes to check in on the father and his daughter things go array and after a horrific murder happens, Mik3 sets off to catch the mysterious fugitive.
Firstly, MIke Bowditch books can be read as standalones. I know because I've read half the series and in no particular order. Each book is a very well written self contained read while giving you more of Mike's story. This book is probably my favorite yet.
The father and daughter who seem to be flying under the radar are really interesting and how the story unfolds is seriously entertaining.
What can you expect from this book? It's fast paced. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. You will feel every emotion that runs through Mike. I was so mad for him! You will get a lesson in survival.
There wasn't much I didn't like. These books have not disappointed me yet!
If you like thrillers and are looking for a new series, give this one a shot!
