Pros & Cons of Betrayal

This was a mixed bag. It was longer than the other books in the series, so it provided a lot more space for the romance between Carson and Eric to be developed (also it was a second chance relationship so there was a history to build on). Plus it was pretty entertaining to see all of the guys band together for the simple purpose of rescuing a relationship, and the scenes featuring Carson's Mom pretty much adopting Breck, Ridge and Danny were very sweet. But the attempt to throw in a caper fell flat, as most of the action took place while the guys watched safely from a distant location.

The books ends with the cliffhanger we all knew was coming, so even though I haven't loved this series, I'll definitely read the final book when it is released sometime in 2021. I am curious to see what the future holds for this band of “bad guys make the best good guys” - will they stay together? Go legit? Leave the door open for more books? If 2021 doesn't start looking much better soon I could definitely use more of their silly but entertaining adventures.
