A good ending for an interesting trilogy. It's really grim, and kind of hopeless to see how nothing really gets any better, but fortunately the ending is not all gloom and doom. But I liked this: it was fun to see the characters develop. Father Yarvi got the longest exposure in the trilogy, but Thorn gets a nice arc and the new guy in the line up, Raith, sees some development within this last novel. All in all, pleasantly bloody and full of intrigue and adventure, set in a rather interesting world. Well done. Perhaps I should dig into [b:The Blade Itself 944073 The Blade Itself (The First Law, #1) Joe Abercrombie https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1284167912s/944073.jpg 929009] next.
