I only made it to around page 116 before giving up on this one. Profanity, a couple of expletives, an explicit sex scene (I skipped a couple of paragraphs because it was going into too much detail for my taste), and marital affairs were distracting and unnecessary. Also, Annabel's perspective became quite abstract, which made it impossible for me to follow it. In the back-cover copy, it is stated that the Eicher family was killed, but that had not happened through the 116 pages I had read. Why put it in the premise if it doesn't happen within the first hundred pages? It now seems like the premise contained a huge spoiler because those deaths didn't happen early on. I thought this book was going to be more about the manhunt from pretty early on, so I was disappointed by that.
I was not compensated for my honest review.
