Ransome's Crossing

I have to say, I loved the extensive detail about the period Navy life. Ship life was excellently portrayed, so much so that I can almost say I heard/felt/saw what it was like to cross the ocean in that time period. I deeply appreciate such meticulous research.
It was pleasant to see Julia and Ransome learning to value each other as a couple, and I never stopped for a breath before picking up book three to see what happens next!
