This is why I prefer to read series that have already been completed because I can go straight from one book to the next. I NEED the next book in this series now! New favorite Shatter Me book by far!
I read the original three books of this series last year, so I was able to remember most of what had happened pretty easily. I also looked back at my review for Ignite Me and I said how I didn't like the ending because I felt like it didn't wrap things up well enough and that things felt rushed and I wanted more. I got more. But now I need even more! Never satisfied with what I have!
If I hadn't gotten sick I probably would have read this book in one day, however, since I did get sick it took me a little longer. I still flew through this book so fast. I loved every page. I loved this book so much.
I was a little bit nervous about having dual perspectives in this book because I don't usually find myself gravitating towards books with more than one perspective. It really worked for me with this book though. It worked in a way that was interesting to me. Every time the perspective switched I found myself wanting to stay with that person and find out what happened next with them. And then when the perspective would switch again I'd want the same thing! I love all of these characters so much and I was so happy to jump back into the world with them. Warner and Juliette and Kenji. And the new characters! I seriously could not get enough of Nazeera, I loved that woman.
And that ending oh my goodness I am still reeling. I cannot. I need more. I'm pretty sure I actually screamed when it was over because it couldn't stop there! I wasn't ready! I needed more! And now I'm going have to wait who knows how long for the next installment!? Why did I have to have this as soon as it came out? I didn't savor it! And now I'm left with nothing for who knows how much longer!
Long review short. If you're hesitant to read the second half of the series don't be. This book is my favorite of all four, and I feel like I may end up liking the second half of the series even more than the first! Juliette has really grown and I love it. I could probably go on for hours about this book. Just read it.
