This is the second book I've read by Morgan Matson. I've actually had this on my kindle for a while now but I kept putting off reading it.

I really enjoyed this story but I did have a few issues with it that kept me from giving it 5 stars. It was a little repetitive which was annoying and it could have used a little more editing.

I can't believe I am about to say this but this book focused more on the second chance romance/friendships and while I did enjoy that aspect I wish we would have got more of the emotion of what the family was going through with their dad being sick.

In the first half of the book I got a little teary eyed a couple of times but the last half was when things got hard. This is only the 2nd book to make me cry like a baby both of which had to do with losing their dads.

I lost both of my dads within a year of each other and one of them was from cancer so this hit close to home and was a very emotional read for me.
