See Me

Maria and Colin's story started out slow, their characters seemed poles apart yet they fit together perfectly. I loved Colin's honesty, he didn't make excuses for his past, he told the truth and many points throughout the story, his dialogue had me laughing.

Maria was a career-focused woman with a lot going on in her life. She didn't have time for love and especially with someone like Colin. Nevertheless, I love that she gave Colin a chance. The first half of the story was the slow build of their relationship. Their dates were sweet and who knew Colin could be so romantic albeit with a little help from his friends.

The second half of the book is when the mystery and suspense really kicked in. Maria had an enemy and Colin made it his job to keep her safe. Talk about swoon-worthy! I must admit I did miss the romance in the second half. I understood that was the last thing on their minds, of course they had more pressing issues at hand, but I felt Colin and Maria lost some of their spark. It seemed as though they didn't fully resolve some things and I would have liked to have seen that. But with that being said, the action kept me entertained and Colin was the perfect hero!

See Me was a romantic suspense that kept me guessing until the end. At one point I was feeling frustrated as it all felt very obvious but then that should have been my first clue...if things appeared obvious, that was the author's intent. There were many twists and turns that culminated in the explosive climax
