ah this is a tough one to review. now having read newer books from klosterman, you can STARKLY see when reading this how far his own growth and mindset has come and how limited it was at this point in his life (nearly 2 decades ago...) so i appreciate it for what it is, but it was def written in 2003 lol. some essays landed way more than others, and a few i wish weren't here because i think they aren't necessary. a bit of a mixed bag. but i appreciate it for what it is and i'd love to see if klosterman has more thoughts on this manifesto now in 2024.
