This book was......interesting?

Now, you may be wondering why I chose not to rate it. Well to put it simply, I have no clue how I feel about this book. I don't want to give it a bad rating because I definitely did not hate it.

I was going to rate it a solid 3 stars, but that didn't feel right and nothing above or below that felt right either. So, here we are.

I honestly don't know how to write a review for this book either, but

It hooked me from the beginning. I literally read this in a day.

And let me just state for the record, I ain't no chicken, but this shit was DARK. Like, the darkest thing I have ever read, and I NEVER shy away from the dark side. I had to put it down a couple of times and do something else to clear my mind.

But does that make it bad? No, definitely not. It just made me feel some type of way that I wasn't necessarily comfortable with. But what do you expect from a book called Sick Fux?

Ellis (Dolly) & Heathan (Rabbit) are completely different people. He is obsessed with death & She is obsessed with a fairy tale. They meet when they are children and form a very close bond. Dark shit happens, and they are separated for 11 years. When they finally meet again, neither of them are who they used to be. Heathan has to help Ellis escape from the place in her mind where she has locked herself away.

I wouldn't call this a retelling of Alice in Wonderland. More so, a girl that is just completely obsessed with the book. So much so, that she truly believes that she lives in this alternate reality. Almost everyone in this story has a “nickname” from the famous fairy tale.

The love story part of this was absolutely phenomenal. Nothing and no one can come between them, their bond is THAT unbreakable. They remind me of Joker & Harley Quinn but with an actual loving relationship instead of an abusive one.

I adored Heathan, but I felt weird about Ellis. From the shit she went through, her mind was under developed. So, I kind of saw her as a child instead of a woman. Both of them were absolutely Psycho, and they really enjoyed killing people. They were totally anti-heroes. They killed people, but only people who deserved it.

(^ If you read the book, you'll understand why that gif it totally perfect!)

Overall, I liked this book but I just can't give it a solid rating. It was insanely dark, with a shit ton of killing, but also with some verrrry hot sex.

If you have a dark mind, definitely give it a go! If you can't handle a little gore, then this is definitely not for you.
