Emotional rating on this one...I just really enjoyed the whole story, and the peril felt very real. It was hard to put it down for any reason, and I only did so once because I had to. I felt like I was there in the peril and I loved all the features with the MCs from the previous books in the series. The danger and action scenes kept my attention easily all the way to the end...a child in peril from a gang is always a plot that catches my attention. Add in a second-chance romance and it's easy to root for the MCs. I also have a definite weak spot for when the family of someone endangered comes out to their defense like a hill of maddened ants and you just know the bad guys have got to lose. However, these bad guys were very twisty, and I kept wondering how many good guys were going to die along the way....
