This was an interesting read. In this story a gently bred english woman whose mother was from Barbados (she died a long time ago) and her dad was from England (he might be nobility or at least gentry). Her dad is in Wyoming and she is sent there to help him keep house. She shows up and he has lost the ranch in a card game and is a gambling addict.
So, she hikes up her skirts and starts to figure life out. The county/ranch needs a teacher so they hire her to teach the kids and she makes friends with everyone. The MMC falls in love with her and there's great stuff with a terrible snow storm and her saving the kids at the school.
It was a good read. Low on the angst meter, which I appreciate. Lots of no-nonsense women which I super enjoy!
