Some Prefer Nettles is a very interesting Japanese novel written in the 1930s. It is about a Japanese couple who has decided to part ways amicably. At that time the man forms a unique relationship with his father in law who is a traditionalist. He becomes interested in puppet shows and decides to follow the suit of his father in law.
