Issue 1 out of a 4 issue series that I do not care to read more about. I haven't read what came before this but to sum it up, this Spider-Man is a clone, MJ is pregnant with his child, and elsewhere Ben Reilly is taking over as Spider-Man. With the birth of his first child nearing soon, Peter is researching how exactly he became Spider-Man. He is doing this because he is afraid how his unborn child will be affected.
He works for G.A.R.I.D and that company is the same one that had the radioactive spider bite him, thus turning him into Spider-Man. I liked reading into a glimpse of what would life be for Peter once he left NYC and settled for a normal life. As stated before, he is with MJ and I really liked that they are together. Despite being tempted to put on the suit he tries not to, but when a Dr. at the lab makes his spidey senses go on wonky we see how she will be the catalyst that changes the future of Peter.
Despite the interesting story line, I don't care to read the other 3 issues to find out what happens. It seems very predictable. I liked the vibrant art work, but I didn't like how super muscular they made Peter. Was he always drawn like that? I think all 4 issues are available online for $1.99 an issue.
