Susanna and Sue

Well, well...a Wiggin book I hadn't reviewed!

This one is different from her usual fare. The wife takes her little girl and leaves her husband, seeking refuge in a Shaker community. She questions whether or not marriage is actually all it's cracked up to be, since of course hers didn't turn out well, and this community she is living in believes it gets in the way of one's spiritual destiny. Susanna must work through many questions of her faith even while her spirit recovers its hope amidst the quieter ways of life.
