Swan

The two stars are here for two reasons: one, effort, including good grammar. Two, despite the fact that the big secret in the book is jeez in your face, the main character, Maddie, is actually the epithome of the girl next door (only she's 41), and you can't help but like her.
And that's the redeeming list for me.
