Why?

This was my own fault. I've been trying to get back into reading cozy mysteries and have done kind of a scattershot effect to try them out. I'll pretty much grab whatever sounds good and that was well liked on Goodreads. I knew I wanted to try this series out and a couple weeks ago while I was at the library looking for some Halloween cozy mysteries, I saw this book. I could resist and grabbed it.

Well, it's been mostly untouched for two weeks and then about five minutes ago I was checking out the reviews for the first book in this series - like you do - when I discovered that Cate Conte is a pen name for Liz Mugavero. I already read one of her books. I didn't like it. At all. (https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/5925835008)

If I would have known this book was by the same author, I would have never even attempted it.

As I said, my own fault.
