After waiting on tables back in the 'eighties, I transitioned to working full time in the theater. It was inadvertent as I'd always wanted to be a movie actor, but I ran into a guy who worked in theater in Brooklyn, New York, and started attending a class a former teacher of his taught in Manhattan.
