The Brass Hall

This very quick read and excellent introduction to the Dan Kotler Archaeological Thriller series introduces the series' main protagonist and gives a good sense of the kind of stories one can expect from the series itself. This shorter tale, while written to serve as a general series prequel, has a direct sequel in The God Extinction, the 7th book in the series, so when this story ends quickly, you can be certain that it's not really over yet. Or, you can choose to start with the first book in the series (The Coelho Medallion, which I have done, and recommend). Either way, more exciting and well-developed books are in store!
