Headstrong Lorna Jarrett manages to forestall Lord Peter Truesdale’s lackluster proposal to her young cousin Melanie, but is then a few months later forced by circumstance to marry him herself. Unfortunately she and her new groom had already spent so much time sparring with each other that neither seemed to notice that they were actually falling in love.
