Just a few years earlier, Captain Jack Kelly was living his dream of owning and operating a charter sailboat out of Key West Florida. Then, his whole world was turned upside down, and his losses were so pronounced, that every day, he desperately tries to bury them anyway he can: avoidance, alcohol, and self-destruction. Now, he's working as a day-charter captain in Point Loma, California, where he has found a home at Sail this Bay. He has built a life of routine that allows him to avoid his past, but his new world is going to be turned upside down when an unwanted visitor from his past suddenly appears. The accident that broke him took his sense of purpose away, and now Jack drifts through each day as he sails under the sunshine while struggling with the darkness in his mind. Somehow, he's got to find a way to come back, but while the other captains believe in him, Jack Kelly is struggling to believe in himself - and at times he is fighting for his very existence.
