Sidelined with a career-ending injury, NFL wide receiver Jahleel Walker is forced to return to his hometown of Peachwood Bay, Georgia, to heal, despite his rocky relationship with his father. Nothing shocks him more than running into his high-school sweetheart, Lucille "Bebe" Gordon. Bebe Gordon came home to Peachwood Bay three years ago with a divorce certificate and her daughter, Hope. When Jahleel returns--for the first time in eight years--all the memories of the past come rushing back. The connection between them is still strong, but Jahleel has no plans to stay in Peachwood Bay, and Bebe can't risk him leaving her again. Will Jahleel and Bebe take a chance on love or let life sideline them at Christmas? 'Tis the season for romance, second chances, and faith with this enchanting Christmas novella from award-winning author Toni Shiloh.

3.5/5 - To forewarn everyone, this is a Christian based book, but I absolutely enjoyed this as it was a second chance romance. I appreciate how the Christmas spirit was sprinkled throughout the book with the activities and the music.
The FMC (Bebe) was a really good person and didn't deserve how the men treated her.
I was iffy about the MMC (Jaleel) but understood why he was so against coming back to his home town. His daddy (The Pastor) was trash! Seems like a common theme in certain books I've read. But the author always gives them a redemption arc at the end. And Bebe's ex husband.....OOOHHHWEEEE! She's better than me!
