The Chronicles of Amber: Volume I

I had the same problem with these stories like I have with most classic fantasy books. They're less than 200 pages which is basically a short story in todays standards. Therefore there is barely any character development. The first book was interesting and unique but I didn't really fall in love with the world. The second book didn't really include the same supporting cast as the first so it's hard to fall in love with characters either. Might come back to the world of Amber one day but don't care to any time soon
