picked this up for a romanceoply challenge prompt and if I'm being honest I probably never would have picked it up on my own otherwise. I have read one other book by this author and loved it but it was an historical romance so needless to say I was a bit skeptical going into this one but luckily I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would.
I have to day this wasn't what I was expecting at all. I was expecting it to be action packed throughout the whole book. There definitely was some action but only in the very beginning of the book and the very end. The rest of the book was about Rachel getting her memories back and Her and Ethan having a second chance at romance.
My issue with romantic suspense is that it's not always well balanced and that was kind of the case with this book. There isn't really a whole lot of investigating going on into what happened to Rachel a year ago and now. The only reason anything gets resolved is because she all of a sudden got her memory back when it was very convenient.
There is a side character in this book that I feel like was unnecessary. Like she's barely part of the story and when she is it's only to cause trouble. She just felt totally out of place. Also it was a bit to repetitive for my liking.
I know it sounds like I didn't like this but I really did enjoy my time reading it and I look forward to reading more books following Ethan's other brothers.
