It was interesting. I didn't know that part of Chanel's history. It was engaging enough to read it all, but I couldn't quite immerse myself completely. I think it's more on my part. I knew what I was going to read when I've opened the book, but in the prologue, it begins with women being punished for their collaborations with Germans, in 1944. I read about that before, of course, but it was a bit a slap in the face.
Novels about WW2 can be a hit or miss with me, depends of the story itself and my mood. Honestly, I was sure I was prepared for a bit of historical drama, but that prologue kinda killed my motivation! lol
Still, I can say that I've liked it. A bit slow at times. But I like the ending.
