The Duke's Impetuous Darling

The Duke's Impetuous Darling is the third book in the orignial Christmas Belle's trilogy. This title was by far my favorite of the series.

This book is a bit of a reunion tale, there's some suspense with the smuggler subplot and the author also throws in the effects of PTSD. All of this mixed together with the Christmas house party made for an interesting read.

While the first two books in the series are a little more tightly entertwined, this one stands more on its own. It is taking place at the same time as the other books, but the mirroring of scenes seen previously didn't happen again here. I rather missed it, but then again, it wasn't necessary.

I enjoyed this book and was happy to see there is more in the series.
