Well its really a nice surprise to read Zombie books from so many fresh perspectives. Here is one from the youth. In a world where age is the selection criteria for survival we follow a bunch of kids through their struggles in the search of safety. While Higson writes well, there are plenty of holes in the story. Glaringly, when the kids do find a temporary haven, they don't spend a moment enjoying it before the plot moves in a totally different direction. That apart the fact that Higson is not invested behind any of the protagonists makes this so not for the faint hearted. Be prepared for everyone to die and enjoy the ride.
