The Evergreen Wreath
The Evergreen Wreath
by Andrea Renee Cox
Overall, this was a delightful family Christmas story. I liked the hope, heart, and joy that were presented in every chapter. The characters were adorable, and I found it easy to root for them throughout the story. The pace of the plot was well thought out and spot-on.
One scene, which I cannot divulge because it would be a major spoiler, was an unrealistic scenario. Several times there were sexual comments that made me uncomfortable, including a “wet” kiss and a woman “having her way” with a man. If those dirty-minded comments weren't in the story, I would have given a higher rating and would have more thoroughly enjoyed the book.
Something that did not affect my rating but did impact my reading experience was the amount of typos. Once “passed” was used when “past” was intended, and there were plenty of unnecessary commas. Those forced me to reread the same line several times to see how I was supposed to pause in the sentence to get the correct meaning.
I would try another book by this author.
I was not compensated for my honest review.
