I really liked this! I thought it was really well-done and enjoyable. My only complaint was that I was really bored during the first half. I didn't feel like anything was going on and I really didn't feel like reading it much, but I forced myself to push through it.
Rachel was a really awesome character. She felt very real and it was interesting to see her experience all of the events and side-plots, especially in regards to her drinking. Her relationships were complex and unique and had me constantly second guessing myself. Megan's character was rather lack-luster and I didn't care about her much- I only liked her chapters for the foreshadowing that happened, which I did think was clever. I hated Anna as a person but she was a very good character. Her interactions with Rachel were fascinating and I liked them greatly.
The plot is fascinating. Sometimes the pacing bored me, especially in the first half, but it got really intense in the second half. It was, quite literally, a nail biter. I also really liked how there were so many suspects. It allowed me to consider all of the possibilities that led to Megan's disappearance.
Overall, I thought this was really well-written and I truly enjoyed it! It was far better than Into the Water- that's for sure!
