A classic springtime tale from Margaret Wise Brown, the author of Goodnight Moon! This classic story follows a little bunny as it discovers a blue egg and begins to wonder about all the wonderful things that might be inside. With colorful illustrations from Caldecott Medalist Leonard Weisgard, and a playful and endearing text by the legendary Margaret Wise Brown, The Golden Egg Book is a perfect for the littlest of hands.

Cute. This is very attractive with plenty to look at on the pages. My copy is a BIG Little Golden Book, but I think it might be in one of the treasuries also. The egg silhouette on the page is a neat idea and conversation starter for the environment around one.
Good for friendship. Good for the lonely child. Good for spring and decent for an Easter basket of books.
It's a vintage classic from my parents era.
A book about a mean rabbit and a mean duck with an abrupt and unfit ending.
