When it comes to works of fiction, there are few that can captivate an audience quite like Tina Mcelroy Ansa's The Hand I Fan With. This novel tells the story of Lena, a wayward soul haunted by ghosts in the present and the spirit. A solitude life is the life she leads and she's grown tired of it. On a humbug her and her best friend do a conjure spell before the latter goes on a road trip to Africa, and while she's gone the mysterious Herman awakens more in Lena than just her curiosity, giving her a new lease on life. Read it. A good friend shoved this book in my hand and said read it and I did. It's a great book.
