The Harbinger of Vengeance: A Revenge Thriller

This was my second Jon Athan, my first was The Gift, if you've read that one you can imagine that I approached this one with a good measure of “do I even have the stomach for this?”. I'm happy to report that The Harbinger of Vengeance isn't The Gift in terms of testing the fortitude of your stomach but it's still plenty gross and vile in its own right.

Jon Athan is an effective writer, in few words he creates scenery and characters while giving little to no superfluous stuff to pad the horrors he throws your way. I did see the final “twist” come from miles away but it was still impossible for me to put it down. If you're looking for a revenge story with the intensity cranked all the way up look no further!
