I love Louisa May's novels, but this... She wrote it when she was 17, and it is heavily influenced by the romance novels she was reading :-D It is fan fiction.
But - one can see her style in it, already, even though it is heavily covered in purple. :-D It really is romantic mush, and should have stayed unpublished :-D Oh, well, it's... cute. I suppose. :-D
No, a teenaged girl's fan fiction is not to be sneered at, it will be a lovely promise to all teenaged girls and boys writing fan fiction, of that one day one might actually write something like the Little Women in the future, when one has grown and learned to kill one's darlings and stopped trying to write like one's ideals...
