Woolf created the ephemeral, independent, elusive woman archetype centuries before we embodied it, only to crash it at the end in an expedient move of 3 mere lines. Acute criticism of Edwardian materialism, elegantly, but also sarcastically, illustrated.

Short in length, but nothing short of substance.
