The Lightning Conductor Discovers America

This is one of my favorite reads of the month. It's fast-paced and lighthearted, and I loved the descriptions of the America of that day. It felt so much more intimate than an average travelogue, and the characters' adventures were often hilariously funny. The book is full of the characteristic Williamson turns of phrase I love, and is a good addition to the other favorites on my shelf.
