A delightful classic-style “Golden Age” mystery with clues, murder, and a heroine accused of the crime (of course wrongfully, the hero is sure). We have an eager American businessman as well who takes a hand in the affair. I have read several Tracy mysteries that feature Winter and Furneaux, the genius Scotland Yard detectives, and in this book Furneaux comes in and takes a hand with the evidence.
