It's a cozy style mystery with a strong Golden Age flavor. Mrs. Meade and Sheriff Royal are at it again as they seek to solve a mystery of why a wealthy citizen's home burned to the ground during a gathering of old friends as overnight guests. Just who had sufficient motive to light the blaze?

I have to say, my favorite clue was the one for the evidence of books as fuel and how a true reader would respond!
