I've been a a fan of Lindsey's music for a number of years and followed her a bit on YouTube, getting snatches here and there of her as a person, but you never really get the full picture online. In this book, in her own words and with a lot of heart, humour and honesty she paints a picture of her life growing up and the ups and downs of following her dream to become a performer and musician. I really, really enjoyed reading it cover to cover. Her openness about her faith, the awkwardness of growing up, the less glamorous side of the entertainment industry alongside her determination, her steadfast stance to always be her unique self, even when others don't understand was both inspiring and heartening. I highly recommend it both for fans and for those looking to follow their own dream. She is such a great example of not leaving behind your principles or your uniqueness to follow a dream...those things can actually set you apart, even if they are hard at times to follow. It matters to the people who count. Thank you Lindsey for sharing your story!
