The Progenitor

The Progenitor Chronicles by @SaraWrightbooks for @katieandbreyPA book tours and here is what I thought.

Xendara is a princess and the unwitting star of a prophecy. Her father took her memories to hide her until it was time. When her father is murdered and her best friend is her betrothed, another memory her father hid, to set her on the path he believed was the right one.

What if he was wrong? As Xendara takes the throne and feeling her powers grow, she has to be careful as a group who believe in the path of fire not water are coming for her. They are coming to make her change her path and use the power of the Ancients to build a brand new galaxy.

I'm not going to lie, the synopsis for this book wasn't awe inspiring but it sounded decent enough for me to crack open. So glad I did.

Sara weaves a beautiful tale of friendship and hope in this young adult fantasy series. Xendara was such a likable character and I felt she was so sweet and gentle that trying to imagine her as a leader started out difficult but as she grew in the book, I could see just how important and needed she truly was. I loved Darijus too. He really rounded out Xendara and the fact she was the Progenitor didn't phase him and he had no interest in using her for her powers either. I loved the descriptions of the worlds they visited and how beautiful the images were in my head.

Once I was in, I was so in I couldn't put it down. Thankfully book 2 was already waiting for me, so I will leave you with this. If you are a fan of fantasy in a sci-fi world, this series is a winner.
