2nd read.
The first time i read this i enjoyed as much as i did the first book. But, having read the second time, I have a few things to say about this book. First of all Jaron's plan was way too reckless and foolish. It's a shame we never get to know his original plan with the pirate. Second, Devlin the Pirate King was very disappointing. Despite all that reputation he was nearly defeated by a fifteen year old boy! And the way the pirates recruited people so easily just don't sit well with me.
But then again despite all that i really enjoyed this book. Nostalgia might be one of the reasons. And the way Jaron never gave on Roden was just so sweet.
