The Saturday Night Ghost Club

Sad book rather than spooky book.
Bittersweet mix of childhood nostalgia (imagination, adventures, making friends, first crush, ghost stories, standing up for yourself), and encountering grown up realities (mental health concerns, life threatening neural injuries/conditions, trauma and danger). 
PROS: Good pacing, heavy foreshadowing that keeps you interested, and unique choice to discuss it from adult brain surgeon's point of view, connecting memories to medical cases. 
CONS: Reveals are too much of a bummer to recommend the read. 
Dove character comes a little too close to manic pixie dream girl.
