The Torn Earth

DNF @ 35%.

Michaelson killed off the main character at the end of book 2 so if you didn't particularly care for any of the side characters, this book isn't for you. Looking at reviews, there's a huge twist where that changes but I didn't get that far. Michaelson does great descriptive writing (the “food” during the dinner party particularly) and good characterisations but Marcus, Zara, and Oscar's sister seem to be the main elements here along with their side pieces and I'm not interested in any of them as much as Oscar and Dimitri.
