The Winter Spirit

I'm predisposed to like any romance with ghosts. It offers such built in angst and struggles that the author doesn't have to work and wind up writing a melodrama. This story works out quite well. I like the softness between Nate and Gabe. I like the fact that there are actually women in this short story, even if the story isn't about them. (Sorry, but I've been reading this collection of M/M novellas that seem to forget women even exist!) I even liked the fact that Nate had another guy interested in him, because of the lovely contrast between the way that guy treated him and the way Gabe treated him. I didn't like the late story separation. It was unneeded and, honestly, didn't make the most sense.
