The interesting story in this book got lost in the unnecessary negative content. There were portions of this story I enjoyed, particularly the hope of survival in dark times. Had it been a cleaner book, it's likely I would have cried my way through this one.
Content: profanity, expletives (English and German), alcohol, tobacco, suicide, skinny-dipping, derogatory terms (English and German), nudity, sexual content (sex, innuendo, etc.)
