A young man wonders about the major themes of life: work before pleasure, education, and service of others. A wonderful children's story, inspiring and just a touch of magic. Great for children and adults both. A short easy read, perfect for Halloween. I read this as a child, and remembered it for 40 years, so great to find it again. I would strongly recommend it.
