Uncanny Valley

Beautiful, clever writing but very cool and detached, kind of a slog to get through because there was no emotional connection to the author's narrative. Didn't really tell me anything I didn't already suspect about millennial Silicon Valley tech start-up culture. Not sure why the New York Times et al went bananas over it; I certainly wouldn't list it among the best books I read in 2020.
