How the World Isn’t Built for Autistic People and What We Should All Do About it

This book should be read by every human being not matter if they think they know an autistic person or not. It's rarely I would use the word “should” but it's needed in this context because it gives you such a good understanding of what being autistic is like. Having autistic family members and friends made me more eager to read this book but we all know people who are on the spectrum, maybe we're just not aware of it yet. It's practical, funny and who can resist British humour coming from a person who is autistic and was once a teacher? Give it a try, most likely you won't regret it. I sure didn't and would recommend it to everyone I know.
