Wake

An inventive premise and a sparse writing style make for an interesting, quick read. When I was reading, I really felt that the story lost steam towards the middle, but was rather pleasantly surprised to find that McMann was just shifting gears, subtly turning the story into a different direction, one which I found very satisfying. I'm looking forward to the sequel, Fade.
