What a book!
If i liked Sofie Hagen before reading it, I now REALLY like her and feel understood by someone who never even met me.
This is a laugh-out-loud as well as cry-out-loud book, not only about Sex or having or not having it, but also about mental health, traumata, good and bad experiences and those that change meaning over time. It is about selflove (in both meanings of the word), about wether you feel the need the physical touch of another body or not. They discusses the topic of having or not having sex in all kind of questions and lights - finding (possible) answers or follow up questions within their own experiences, educational books they read, friends and a variation of professionals (psychologists, sexworkers, pornmakers...).
Even as an ace lesbian I found myself within these questions, found their experiences sometimes even relateable even though I never experienced anything close to those they share. But I could always follow their mind and way of thinking.
It is a very interesting book and a very good one, at least for my taste.
Beforehand I doubted finding myself within Sofies Words, but was pleasently surprised.
A wonderfully honest, queer, funny but also deep and thought provoking book about Sex and many many questions about it.
